Project Engineer

A fantastic Opportunity has arisen for a M&E Project Engineer to work for a world leading coatings manufacturer in Gateshead

As Project Engineer your daily duties will include:-

• Running multiple, simultaneous projects
• Developing the project specification into a full engineering specification
• Responsibility for the design, procurement, installation, commissioning of new plant & equipment.
• Comparing tenders for price, delivery and engineering quality
• Planning the installation work in conjunction with the client and the contractors.
• Managing the installation to ensure that it is completed in accordance with the plan.
• Managing the approved budget to ensure projects come in on-time and within budget.
• Managing the contractors to ensure they work in a safe manner and as per the agreed Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Undertaking re-delivery inspections of new equipment, risk assess new equipment
• Commissioning and handing over the completed installation to the customer and rectify any defects identified during commissioning.
• Preparing a maintenance package with site engineering
• Reviewing project handover packages
• Managing plant changes (project and minor changes)

To be successful in this role you will be degree qualified with a mechanical bias and have worked in a project management role previously.

You will also have the ability to manage several projects at the same time and be able to prioritise multiple tasks.

Good IT skills, including Auto CAD / MS Project are a must
