Production Operator

Manpower is currently recruiting for experienced Production Operatives to work at our client's site in Shildon.

Our client, a well-established chemical paints and coatings supplier, are seeking experienced Production Operatives to join their team.

SHIFTS:

There is a 3-shift rotation and a 2-shift rotation depending on what department you will be working on.

Earlies- 6am-2pm Monday to Friday

Back shift- 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday

Nights- 10pm-6am Sunday to Thursday

PAY RATES:

£13.36 to £13.62 depending on shift rotation plus shift allowance.

Overtime is paid at time and a half from Monday morning through to Saturday noon, then double time from Saturday noon through Sunday. However, shifts starting on a Sunday night does not classify as an overtime rate (standard payment applies).

DUTIES:

• Machine Operating
• Manufacturing and filling of production batches
• Completion of documentation using a PC
• Maintaining and improving 5S standards and housekeeping
• Willing to learn and train in other departments depending on business need
• Quality testing
• Dispensing, filling spraying to sample and colour matching to standard of paint colours
• Be flexible to work on any task or any department where training is provided.
• KPI's daily control

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Computer literacy
• Heavy industrial or manufacturing experience- preferably working at a COMAH site previously
• Excellent attention to detail
• Problem solving
• Flexibility
