Logistics - Customer Care Specialist

Are you an experienced logistics individual that has Air Freight expertise? Do you have customer care / account management experience too? Do you have experience of building relationships with customers face to face as well as on the phone / email? It would be advantageous if you have experience of working with MOD / Government contracts

A global Freight forwarder (one of the largest in world) are looking to recruit an experienced customer care specialist to join the team based in Feltham.

Reporting into the Customer Care Manager within the Air Logistics division, this is a great opportunity to join a company that put a huge emphasis on career development.

The purpose of this role is to be directly responsible for communication with your customers, providing a high level of customer service and managing customer accounts. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders whilst being proactive in everything you do and being a problem solver.

This role is predominantly managing the exports of one major client, however you could also be working on other accounts

You are responsible for ensuring that your customers experience is a positive one each time they have an engagement with yourself and the company.

Your duties will include:

• Monitoring customer shipments in order to proactively provide customer updates and anticipate any problems to solve before they become an issue for the customer
• Develop and onboard new business / customers
• Problem solve and complaint handle
• Complaint resolution
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

As already stated, this company put a huge emphasis on development and career opportunity. For this role there is potentially the opportunity to split this into a hybrid model - 2 or 3 days in the office and 2 or 3 days working from home.

Salary £30-33K

23 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays (This increases with longevity of service)

Private Pension scheme

Contract hours 9am - 5.30pm - however the company are happy considering a different working pattern (eg starting later & finishing later)
