Field Service Engineer

Contract: Full time

Salary: £20,000.00 - £22,500.00 dependent on experience

A Field Service Engineer is required for the East Midlands & Anglia areas whose primary role is to repair and maintain photocopiers, multi-function devices and printers alike, responding to jobs in a timely and professional manner. Electrical and Mechanical experience required.

Candidates will ideally need to be familiar with diagnostic aids such as repair manuals, circuit diagrams and multi-meters and preferably have experience of repairing and maintaining photocopiers or electrical equipment on customer premises. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of Xerox and/or third party products from Toshiba, Kyocera, Epson & Ricoh, whilst having the basic ability to resolve networking and operating system issues.

The candidate must have excellent communication, customer service and customer facing skills with a good knowledge of windows operating systems. Any knowledge of networking would be a distinct advantage.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager the Field Service Engineer will also be responsible for achieving internal measurement targets and be required to adhere to quality processes within the business.

Being a field based role the successful candidate will be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Manufacturer trained on any of the following: Xerox, Toshiba, Epson, Kyocera, Ricoh
  • Several years' experience in a field role within reprographics sector
  • PC Literate
  • Experience working with Windows Systems
  • Knowledge of networking
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics, office equipment and electronics
  • Customer service skills
