Are you an experienced Import Clerk? Are you looking for a position offering 4 days on 4 days off working week? This role is for Air Imports, but the organisation is happy to consider candidates that have Import experience across other modes of transport. Perhaps you have relevant experience overseas and looking for your first role in the UK?

A truly global logistics organisation that have over 1000 offices across 100+ countries and have been trading for over 100 years are expanding their perishable goods team and looking to recruit an experienced Import Clerk.
Would you like to work for a company where staff progression and development is at the forefront of their culture? There is huge scope for development with this company - if you are prepared to work hard and come to work with the attitude the reward will come!
In this role you will ultimately be responsible for managing the total import process for perishable goods customers. This will be the full import process from start to finish - Quoting through to deliveries and billing.
As this is joining a perishable goods team within Air Freight, clearly it would be advantageous if you had experience in both perishable goods and Air Freight imports - however this is not essential. As already stated, the company are happy to consider candidates with imports experience across other modes of transport and can also upskill regarding perishable goods (eg fresh food and flowers)
To be clear, this role is not a Monday to Friday 9-5 type role - this is a 4 on 4 off role (I.e. 4 days working, 4 days off shift pattern). The working hours are 8am - 8pm - however the company can be a bit flexible on this if you wanted to work 7am - 7pm or 9am - 9pm. This role is 100% office based - no working from home. This is an operations role where you will be liaising with internal stakeholders and going into the warehouse when required.
Clearly this working pattern will not be for everyone, so it is important that you are able to work on a 4 on 4 off rota - there is no negotiation on this. As everyone is aware, the market is extremely busy at present so you will also need to have the flexibility to stay a few minutes extra now and again when required and help cover colleagues when on annual leave if required. Teamwork is the name of the game!
Given the nature of this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
" Ability to work to deadlines and time constraints
" Attention to detail
" Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
" Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
" First class organisational skills and able to prioritise
As previously stated, the company are happy to consider candidates with suitable experience who are looking for a first role in the UK - but you must have the valid Right to Work in the UK.

Salary:
£28,000 - £35,000 basic (subject to relevant experience & upskilling required)
23 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays (Increases with longevity of service)
Private Pension Scheme
Healthcare
