About the role:
Here at Cavendish Nuclear, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

You will resolve specific technical issues and problems, compile technical reports and accompanying presentations, provide, review and adhere to specifications in accordance with stakeholder requirements. Coach, mentor and assist others on matters pertaining to their own discipline, developing business awareness, build strong working relationships with stakeholders, work independently with limited technical direction or as part of a small team.

You will work on a range of engineering problems involving high levels of complexity & uncertainty. Whilst also providing help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working, and their development.

What do I need to do this role?

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

You will require an engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant mechanical engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience

You will also ideally hold chartered Engineer status, or be working towards this

We are seeking Mechanical Engineers experienced in Nuclear, or other highly regulated industries e.g. Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Utilities etc

What else do I need to know?
All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks. Verification of any qualifications/passport/licences must be shown at interview stage

Candidates must be eligible to gain and maintain UK SC level security clearance
