Plant Operatives Scheme Representative - Rail
Location: Blantyre, Lanarkshire, GB, G72 0LH

About the role
Here at Babcock International, we're looking to recruit a number of Plant Operatives Scheme Representatives to undertake duties in compliance with Network Rail's criteria for On Track Plant Operators, and will have an underpinning knowledge needed to perform all tasks safely and in line with Babcock's Plant Operating Scheme procedure.
Main responsibilities include:
* Undertake duties as a POS Representative as per Babcock Rail (POS) Policy.
* Carry out planned works with company supervision.
* Attend site walkouts as required to input into planning process.
* Comply with Network Rail Life Saving Rules.
* Ensure all relevant paperwork is correct and is kept for audit purposes in compliance with Babcock Rail (POS) Policy.

What do I need to do the role?
You will have knowledge of the following:
* Machine controller duties and responsibilities
* Rail plant with regards to its compliance for use
* Rail environment including basic understanding of discipline specific activities
You will also hold a valid Sentinel Track Safety Card, and POS Representative Competence.
Some experience of working with on-track plant, and within a major projects environment is essential.

What else do I need to know?
This role is based out of our Hamilton office, but travelling will be involved to sites across Scotland as Part of Network Rail Alliance.
Working hours are 35 per week + 35% roster premium for working 1 week of nights per month and 2 weekends per month.
