About the role

Here at Cavendish Nuclear we are looking to employ an experienced HVAC engineer who will be integral to the successful construction of Hinkley Point C as part of the MEH Alliance. The MEH Alliance ia a collective of the most esteemed construction, engineering and nuclear organisations joining forces to deliver the largest construction taking place in Europe right now. This is a once in a career opportunity to be a part of the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years. Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidates will responsible for the construction engineering works for the HVAC equipment installation and experienced in writing installation procedure documentation. This includes the delegation of responsibilities to CE's/Works Coordination Leads in order to Lead, manage and motivate the team through implementation of best practice. Ultimately you will be accountable to deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Pack scope of works to support the MEH construction activities


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Construction Workpacks to support the MEH Alliance programme
  • Enable the use of the Procon system to support the construction works and progress reporting of the MEH Alliance
  • Enable the requesting and compliance of the MEH Alliance for the Work Authorisation and Permit systems operated by NNB
  • Enable the co-ordination of safe access routing to workfaces to support the MEH Alliance construction works
  • Enable the topographical and other surveying required to support the MEH Alliance construction works

What do I need to do the role?


Essential:

  • Degree Qualification (or Equivalent)
  • Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering)
  • Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH
  • Experienced in on site HVAC engineering support

Desirable:

  • Proven track record in nuclear power preferred
  • Experience working on major construction projects
  • Experienced in delivering and operating at a Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures

What else do I need to know?
