Group Environmental Manager
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire, GB, PO6 3EN
Please note this role can be based in either London, Portsmouth, Plymouth or Bristol
About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Group Environmental Manager. This is a newly created leadership role within the Group Environment team and will play an influential role in shaping the Environmental Sustainability direction of the organisation.
You will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of Babcock's Environmental Sustainability Strategy, and shall deliver professional environmental management services across the Babcock estate. You will require a flexible approach to the role and be able to work under your own initiative. Providing leadership, guidance and support to the environmental professionals across Babcock and work to ensure that legal and regulatory compliance is achieved and maintained.
What do I need to do the role?
We are looking for a strategic individual who can deliver high level strategies/policies with a degree in Environmental / Energy Management or Building Services and a member of IEMA, Energy Institute or CEnv (or equivalent professional body)
Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
Experience of managing environmental processes which can include waste management, carbon initiatives, water management
Significant professional experience of environment and energy management
Extensive knowledge of environment and energy legislation, including EPBD, ESOS, SECR, Environmental Permitting Regulations etc.
Professional knowledge and experience of Building Services
Experience managing and analysing complex data sets
What else do I need to know?
You should hold or have the ability to obtain SC clearance.
Travel may be required bi weekly/monthly
