About the role:
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Production Cell Manager to lead a prodction cell in our Factory Group.

The Factory group's primary objective is to deliver repair and overhaul shop Services to Devonport based ship and submarine projects, Fleet Time vessels and the wider Dockyard infrastructure.

You'll deliver this objective through high-class service to customers, continuous improvement driven by expertise, integrity, teamwork and creativity.

Main Purpose of Role:
You'll head up the production cell and you'll be responsible for the management of a multi skilled team of industrial and non-industrial staff with overriding responsibility split across the Production Engineering Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering teams.

You will work closely with the production team, internal customers and external contractors within Devonport Royal Dockyard to ensure efficient delivery of the following.

* Safe and effective management of the production team consisting of first line managers, staff and facilities within the production cell to ensure the efficient and effective use of all group resources, to ensure production workloads meet stated requirements, including production plans and identification of trained labour and suitable production facilities.
* To ensure compliance with all Company H+S regulations and policies.
* To manage the delivery of the repair and overhaul process of production equipment survey reports, identifying & ordering additional materials, sub-contracts and labour requirements.
* To manage the delivery of repair processes iaw contract requirements, completion of quality documentation, with a focus on product safety.
* To manage the time and attendance and daily labour bookings of staff within the area.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need proven leadership experience with a sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, demonstrated experience within an engineering production/manufacturing environment. A passionate and driven individual who is looking to add value and grow within the leadership team.

Would also like you to have experience in the following areas:
* Knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools and techniques and an understanding of project management principles.
* Previous supervisory experience essential.
* Experience in wide range of marine equipment and repair processes.
* Experience of quality processes and documentation.
* Experience of continuous improvement activities.

What else do I need to know?
The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
