About the role
Here at Babcock Onshore we have an exciting opportunity for a Customs Coordinator based in our Onshore Office at Gloucestershire Airport near Cheltenham which will support the aviation fleet in the UK.
We are looking for innovators to collaborate with us on our transformation journey and make a positive impact on our business, bringing big ideas and solving complex problems.
You'll serve a key role within the team and will be involved throughout the entire supply chain; from initial proposal, through concept, design and delivery. In particular you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance within the UK supply chain and the effective use of special procedures whilst driving continuous improvement.
This role would suit someone from a purchasing background that wants to develop their skills in this area. We are a team of 10 with opportunity to progress.
- Ensuring the Customs procedures are kept up to date and relevant for each business unit
* Work with Engineering, Trace Control and buyers to understand movements on the horizon and ensure all paperwork is in place
* Actively manage RAMCO tariff codes and populating this information into new part numbers entries
* Identify saving opportunities in regards to freight movements and how items are processes
* Work closely with freight companies and brokers to ensure prompt provision of clearance instructions
* Responsible for auditing of customs process
What do I need to do the role?
You'll need a Procurement background, experience in dealing with the Drivers of import/ export and have the ability to see beyond the challenges in your area.
What else do I need to know?
* The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
