About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Project Engineer for our Maintenance Delivery team.


The vacancy is at Devonport and offered on a permanent, full time basis. The role will be 37 hours a week, on days/backs shift pattern.

The Maintenance Delivery team are responsible for maintenance across the entire Devonport Site. A significant, recent commitment to increase the functionality has led to the requirement to expand the team.


You will be responsible for a range of support functions, with a specialty in supporting the waterfront helpdesk. This is a service provided to our customer to ensure that entitled vessels are supplied with utilities, and will require you to take phone calls and emails, and arrange for plant hire and services.
The role will also include, alongside this, IFS orders, plant hire, PEPs parts ordering and maintenance planning for the maintenance teams.

What do I need do the role?
You'll need experience in a customer facing role - need to be excellent with communication at all levels, Cost Experience (KPI, Risk Assessments, and Material Costing), supervisory experience and the ability to work overtime and changing in shifts at late notice. Flexibility is key!

What else do I need to know?
* The successful candidate will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
