About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer Manager.

You will be a champion of lean with the ability to enhance the overall effectiveness of meet, and exceed the overall Factory Group objectives.

Responsibilities include developing the investment strategy for the implementation of new machinery, technology and processes to improve production efficiency, H+S, quality, delivery, reduce risk and cycle time contributing to overall Factory Group targets. Ensuring a comprehensive asset maintenance, upgrade plan is in place with options.

* Lead and manage the assigned staff to enhance the overall effectiveness of meet, and exceed the overall Factory Group objectives. Leading the planning and management of multi discipline projects involving the management, coordination and integration of multidiscipline tasks to reduce lead times and waste within the FG, in conjunctions with production departments implementing cost effective solutions.
* Assure manufacturing process safety through the identification of process risks and implementation of the necessary controls to ensure risks are as low as reasonably practical (ALARP).
* Introduction of and drive of the continuous improvement culture to improve H+S, productivity, quality, reduce cost and maximise delivery. Embed lean techniques into the Factory Group, highlight training needs to support process changes and deliver training of lean techniques to the team.
* Creation and delivery of performance indicators/manufacturing data related to technical disciplines, tooling and process setting that contribute to the effective performance management of the overall Factory Group targets.
* Analysing manufacturing data identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
* Coordinating a cross functional approach with intent to arrive at the conclusions necessary for the Factory Group to act effectively.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need previous experience of managing a team, managing improvements and upgrades, creating and presenting business cases and CAPEX proposals and producing technical reports/ create roadmaps and utilise data.

What else do I need to know?
* The successful candidate will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
