We are looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic Project Manager (PM) to join the Marine Systems Support Partner (MSSP) team to manage the delivery of one of the 4 Lots that make up the MSSP contract.

You will be joining a strong and established contract team, providing critical in-service support to the Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers and the Type 45 Destroyers.

The scope of the MSSP contract covers the provision of equipment spares and repairs together with technical support and advice including defect rectification, design change and integrated logistics support activities. Split across Bristol and Portsmouth locations, the team is Babcock led and closely supported by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) from across the naval industry.

Through working with both internal and external stakeholders to provide a more strategic focus to this programme, there is a huge opportunity to make a big difference to how this service is delivered, which in turn will have a direct impact on the availability and performance of key Royal Navy assets.

Who we're looking for
You will be keen to develop your skills and interests in project management and will be confident in collaborating and communicating with different stakeholders across a broad sector. You will co-ordinate support from the waterfront team, engineering, commercial, finance, and supply chain to deliver support solutions across 2 critical Navy platforms.

Experience
You should have a track record of developing strong relationships with stakeholders. We are looking for someone who is experienced in project management and knowledge of project management methodologies and working practices and experienced and knowledgeable in the use of project tools and techniques including Microsoft Project (MS), ERP Systems and financial and resource planning tools.

Skills and attributes
You should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with knowledge of project management methodologies and working practices, strong organisational skills and an eye for detail and accuracy of data. You should be proactive, dedicated and have an inquisitive work ethic.

Qualifications
Ideally you will have APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) [formerly known as APMP] and will be a Member of the APM.
