Trainee Installer/Workshop Engineer

Manpower is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients based in Edinburgh for the position of a Trainee Workshop Engineer/Installer/Store. Full training will be given to service, customise, commission, and refurbish top-ranked multi-functional printer/ copier/ scanning devices.

Main Duties

To maintain set-up and repair machines in Workshop, under Supervision. To take an active part in the refurbishment of office equipment. Attend any relevant training courses, participate in in-house training and coaching to further develop his/her skills. To assist in equipment installations and their paperwork. To assist in the Stores Department.

To maintain a tool kit and comply with all relevant company Business Management System processes including E.S.D. control and health and safety.

When allocated to an installation or installation team, you will comply with the current General Installation and Health & Safety guide found section two of the Staff Handbook. You will protect and prevent damage to equipment or goods being moved in a safe manner. The movement and installation of equipment will require, at times when deemed necessary, heavy lifting requiring a high degree of physical fitness and stamina and in appropriate circumstances the use of mechanical lifting equipment. All manual lifting should be minimised using mechanical lifting equipment supplied.
