An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Pot Noodle, Knorr, Marmite & Magnum are currently looking for a SHE Coordinator to work on their manufacturing site based in Crumlin, . This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 12 months (Maternity Cover) to start ASAP, working a 39 hour week Monday to Friday. This role is paying £26,000k per annum, pro rata depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the SHE Manager, the post holder is responsible for providing expert advice to the site in the management of the Safety, Health and Environment, ensuring that the appropriate Management systems & procedures are in place and monitoring compliance with these processes.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • To ensure that the sites' Safety, Health and Environmental Management Processes and Systems comply with all legislative, and U/L requirements.
  • To work with the SHE Manager to ensure the integration of H&S policy, systems and processes with wider business management processes and systems.
  • To maintain a commitment to their own professional development ensuring that their knowledge of legislative requirements and best practice in the field of Health & Safety and Environment is kept up to date.
  • To provide expert advice to Line Managers in the management of Health & Safety and Environment in the workplace.
  • To support Line Managers and Operating Teams in specific interventions, such as risk assessments and accident investigations.
  • To utilise trends evident from data analysis to identify initiatives aimed at the prevention of accidents in the workplace and improvements in employee Health & Wellbeing.
  • To utilise trends evident from data analysis to identify initiatives aimed at improving the sites' environmental performance.
  • To plan and implement training programmes aimed at ensuring the appropriate standards of competence in Health & Safety and Environment are maintained amongst Operating Teams, Line Management and in specialist roles such as Firewardens and First Aiders.
  • Internal Auditing - performance, monitoring, measuring
  • Contribute to the implementation of innovation and other major project work to ensure that implementation is according to best in class and work within the WCM guidelines.
  • To liaise with internal and external Health & safety and Environmental bodies
  • To represent the site on Health, Safety and Environmental issues

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate
  • IEMA associate certificate desirable
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in application of health & safety and environmental legislation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Trained internal auditor
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office
