Transport Operations Manager

Permanent position. Excellent opportunity to join a leading North East Transport and Logistics company as an Operations Manager. This is a full-time permanent position. Salary is £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience.

This role involves:

Managing a team of staff to run a fleet of designated LGV vehicles to meet set targets

Provide leadership and contribute to the development of the sales and operations department, challenging assumptions, and decision-making as appropriate

ETA management

Balance the needs and resources within the team

Major or strategic client queries

Staff recruitment as required

Direct liaison with clients, drivers, and sub-contractors

Support the Sales and Operations Director for the delivery of logistical services in the UK

Overall responsibility for standard QLS process for each enquiry from the initial enquiry through to quotation and receipt of order

Complying with Health and Safety requirements and road transport legislation

Take a leading role in managing drivers to ensure that hours worked are reviewed, approved, and recorded accurately

Skills and experience required:

Previous operations management experience within a logistics environment

Working towards or holder of CPC
