Field Sales Executive (Ocean Freight)

£28,000 - £30,000 + Bonus (OTE £55-60k) + Pension + Holiday

Belfast/Hybrid (Office based 1 day per week)

Are you a commercially minded Sales Executive? Do you enjoy winning new business and have proven success in Business Development?

I am representing a global leader in Logistics and Freight who offer an unparalleled service to their clients and are now looking for a self-motivated individual to join their team.

You will be joining an organisation that can offer training, future development and progression through their world-renowned brand and you will play an integral part of the Customer Care Team.

Responsible for business development, you will enjoy the chase of new business, following up on leads and creating/developing relationships with decision makers to sell the companies worldwide Ocean Freight services.

This is a real and very tangible opportunity for the right calibre of candidate - with strong Freight background, excellent commercial awareness, brilliant client relationships and the self-belief to confidently build a territory and develop a customer base.

The Role:

  • To generate new business opportunities within the SME markets
  • Preparing & submitting quotations to customers, whilst taking pricing into consideration
  • Delivering presentations surrounding Ocean Freight and its' benefits
  • Monitoring of current marketplace information on pricing & products.
  • Working with the Customer Care Team to on-board new customers
  • Dealing with queries and complaints from existing clients
  • To review regularly, the customers' portfolio
  • To attend customer events, exhibitions and meetings

The Person:

  • Proven B2B sales experience and a proven record of sales success
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Effective and proactive time management/ forward planning
  • Efficient User of MS Office & CRM Systems
  • Experience of working/managing existing Customer portfolios/pipeline
  • Experience of developing & following up sales leads
  • Experience of working within a targeted new business environment
  • Ocean Freight Sales or industry knowledge would be beneficial
