As our client continues to grow, we are now looking for a Sprinkler Project Manager to join our fantastic Main Contracts team. Situated within the department is over 40+ years combined experience, so you'll be sure to get the support, knowledge and experience to enable you to succeed in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Production of design drawings for Automatic Sprinkler Installations, associated procurement
- Project Management of the entire project and supervision of engineers & projects within the assigned labour team.
- Undertaking audits and inspections of onsite works and ensuring completion of works as per the design standards produced.
- Assisting and advising engineers where required with all audits and general site issues
- Attend Contract Handover meetings with the Sales Team Members.
- Identify/update & communicate design issues, i.e. drawing standards, non- conforming issues etc. to the line manager.
- Check design quantities against tender quantities and raise any anomalies with Commercial and Estimating.
- Ensure Programme of Works are produced & issued for each & every project and that these are monitored against.
- Ensure all drawings are issued appropriately to all parties and that approval has been received, as necessary. All final Construction Issue drawings are provided to fabricators, installers etc.
- Procure all materials etc. in conjunction with our Purchasing Manager/Assistant.
- Assist with the negotiation and procurement of sub-contract installers
- Ensure the budgeted profit of each contract is achieved or bettered and raise and items that are over budget with Commercial and Estimating.
- Attend on site design co-ordination/installation progress meetings along with site visits/audits to ensure site operations are being carried out correctly
- Management of As Fitted drawings to be produced throughout the contract detailing any changes to pipe routes, pipe supports etc.
- Prepare and revise/ manage RA MS Coshh Documentation.
- To report and work under the direction of their line manager
- To assist in the training and development of trainees, Junior designers and Project engineers
- To assist all other departments and team when necessary and required
- Build & maintain good customer relations, repeat business is essential for the success and growth of the Business along with effective working relationships with HFP operatives and sub-contract installers.
- Effective/Correct Use of QMS
- Contribute to the company's website and social media feeds.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- AutoCAD 2D experience is essential.
- LPC Qualifications are preferable- Basic/ Intermediate/ FHC/Site Comptency
- Full UK Driving License is essential.
- Experience in an engineering field is essential.
- Attain Iosh Managers Qualification or similar
- Microsoft Office experience is essential.
- An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
- Good IT skills is essential
- A professional manner and presentable appearance for meeting customers/clients
- Initiative and good decision-making skills
- Project management skills are essential
- The ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals
- Great organisational skills
- Good networking skills
- The ability to think strategically
- The ability to analyse sales figures and write reports
- Initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to successfully complete several tasks concurrently, maintain high levels of attention to detail, maintain documentation, record keeping and meet deadlines
Package:
- Competitve Salary (dependant on experience)
