Prototype/ Manufacturing Technician

An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Prototype Technician to join our client's site in Poole. This role is full time temporary until end of April 2022. The rate of pay is £12 per hour, working Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.45pm, 40 hours a week.

Purpose of the Job
The primary role of the Prototype Technician is to assemble and wire control systems and test equipment to the highest quality and appropriate safety standards.

Principal Responsibilities

• Working with production team on control system cabinet assembly work.
• Assist with testing of completed systems.
• Responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction with the quality and workmanship of the finished system

THE CANDIDATE

• Education Required (academic and/or technical education);
• GCSEs or equivalent
• National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 [Beneficial]

Work Experience Required (area and length of experience)

• Electrical/Mechanical assembly experience
• Work with electrical/pneumatic drawings
• Cabinet systems integration
• Able to test equipment
• Minimum experience of 5 years for the above or 10 years if no vocational qualifications

Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge Required (specific skills and knowledge required for the position)

• Various industry, regulatory and safety standards for cabinet systems integration
• Wireman skills
• Cabinet assembly skill
• General fitter
• Use of power tools
• Computer literacy
