PV Electrical Engineer
Our client, a leading energy company in the UK are currently looking for an experienced PV Electrical Engineer to complete visual inspections on a high number of solar PV installations across our portfolio - nationwide
Location: Nationwide (travel expenses/overnight stays covered)
Salary: £37,384
Start date: ASAP
Annual leave: 28 days per annum pro rata for the first 12 weeks increasing to 34 days per annum pro rata thereafter.
Hours: Full Time 37 hours fully flexible between 8am and 8pm Mon-Fri, and some Saturdays may be required to be worked.
Key activities:
- To complete visual inspections on a high number of solar PV installations across our portfolio
- To ensure the ongoing quality and safety of systems
- To ensure that on site issues are raised with the Fleet Manager/ Fleet Co-ordinator for scheduled resolution
- To liaise with the end user to ensure maximum benefits are achieved
- To undertake pyranometer maintenance as part of the scheduled visual inspections
- To safely remove and replace all aspects of the solar PV systems as and when required
- To safely remove and replace the roof mounted panels in line with planned maintenance by our clients
- To respond and liaise with end user to resolve and answer on site enquiries
- To diagnose and resolve operational issues at the first opportunity
- Responsibility for controlling costs, time and health and safety as an individual and as a team
Key Requirements:
- Electrically Qualified NIEC and 18th Edition standard BS7671
- Additional Part P and MCS Qualified
- H&S qualifications e.g. WAH, MH, Asbestos, IOSH, IPAF
- Have experience in Solar PV installation and maintenance
- To have an industry background in Solar PV technology
- To have an in depth knowledge of solar PV systems from installation to maintenance
- Be familiar with renewable technologies and have an interest in Renewable energy
- Be able to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and staff at all levels
- Puts self in customer's shoes, puts the customer at the heart of everything they do and shows patience and empathy to customer in all situations
- Be able to work accurately and use their own initiative
- Be able to work accurately with attention to detail
- Be able to work independently
- Willingness to learn new skills as and when required
- Be able to work independently and within a team
- Travel is an essential requirement
