Manpower are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Milton Keynes for a Project Coordinator to join their team.

Working hours and pay:

£20-£22k per annum depending upon experience.

Hours of work will be 0800-1600hr Mon-Fri.

6 month contract with strong possibilities of temp to perm!

About the role:

You will provide support for Programmes and Tasks covered within the Street Furniture & Assets Team. The role holder will liaise with stakeholders to determine their needs and advise them accordingly, deal with general queries and administration and update accordingly. They will coordinate and support Programme delivery including supplier interface, quality checking/data verification, consolidation and reporting against plan.

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager/SME/ wider Management Team and will be expected to be flexible to cover varying tasks throughout the appointment.

You will be expected to develop effective partnerships with work colleagues and customers and effectively communicate internally and externally with engineers, subcontractors and customers displaying a positive can do attitude.

Key accountabilities:

  • Working independently, planning and prioritising workloads effectively
  • Coordination and reporting against defined programme delivered by Subcontractors.
  • Working in a structured and tidy manner, observing all relevant health and safety legislation and operating procedures and standards
  • Liaising with customers and contractors in a professional fashion in order to project a positive company image.
  • Updating systems and liaising with managers, suppliers and customers on the status of projects or work so that both are fully aware of the progress.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health and safety policies and procedures to ensure safety of colleagues, customers and the public.
  • Promoting a "right first time" approach
  • Balancing own priorities and workload in order to ensure project objectives are achieved and contractual obligations met.
  • Providing assistance to other team members as required.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications required for this specific role:

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office including Word, Excel & Outlook, ensuring data integrity is maintained.
  • Experience of working with Subcontractors to deliver National Programmes
  • Proven ability to manage large programmes and data accurately
  • Good geographical knowledge of UK would be an advantage
  • Effective communication skills at all levels
  • Good problem solving skills, with the ability to identify innovative solutions
  • Experience of working to strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of internal and external audit requirements and processes.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team focused in delivering continued customer excellence.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to deal with colleagues, suppliers, and customers in a professional, confident manner
  • Strong time management and task prioritisation skills.
  • Proven ability to work to documented processes whilst being able to work from own initiative when required
  • Able to work in a professional manner responding to business needs with a flexible and punctual approach
  • Effective interpersonal and team working skills
  • Positive approach to new challenges and ability to embrace and support current and future business change
  • Ability to challenge and review established procedures with a view to providing creative, effective improved solutions
