We are currently supporting one of our Global Clients to find 2 permanent & 1 temporary/long term Electrical Maintenance Engineer's at their Wigan Plant. Working alongside the same shifts as the Production Operatives, you will provide on demand support, reactive & pro-active maintenance of all cell machinery.

What do you need to succeed in your application?

  • HNC or OND in Electrical Engineering
  • Hands on in an FMCG environment
  • IOSH accreditation or demonstrable experience of Health, Safety & Environment
  • Experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing Maintenance Team

What will your day look like?

Working on a structured shift rotation, you will be on hand to support & cooperate with your colleagues, by responding to breakdown calls, fault finding & diagnostics with first time resolution to ensure that downtime & loss of production is kept to a minimum.

  • Planned maintenance
  • Reactive maintenance
  • Problem solving
  • Use of PEMAC system for all maintenance of upto 350 machines in the plant
  • Working on high volt (450) heavy industrial machines
  • Working on PLC machinery - Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi (S5, S7, SEW Drives, S7 Siemens Drives)

Whilst I would ideally be looking to introduce Candidates with experience of a similar environment, as there are 2 permanent roles & 1 indefinite long term temporary position, I'm happy to discuss with newly qualified Engineers or Engineers part way through their apprenticeship but need an Employer to support them through after recent events have halted the process & are only part way through their "time" (must be demonstrable experience).

Annualised hours 3 shifts 2-10; 6-2; 10-6 as per the cell operators that are on site. (please consider these shift patterns before applying)
