Engineering Manager - Coleraine
Manpower is recruiting an Engineering Manager with our client who are a successful food producer based in the Coleraine area.
Salary negotiable
Joining a company undergoing significant investment and innovation within their factory
The successful candidate will lead the engineering and maintenance function within a single site operating multiple production units.
As Engineering Manager you will ensure that equipment runs at maximum efficiency, utilising effective planned maintenance programmes and engineering teams to support the business in delivering high quality product on time.
The Role
- Manage the engineering maintenance team, providing ongoing support and mentoring to promote continuous improvement and technical ability of your team
- Ensure equipment runs at maximum efficiency with effective planned maintenance programmes, utilising resources to help the business deliver high quality products on time in line with cost
- Work closely with the Site Manager on production planning, capital investment projects, driving forward efficiency and performance processes
- Build relationships with other departments to enable collaborative functionality across the plant
- Manage external contractors and partners
- Assist with diagnosing problems, reaching cost effective solutions to ensure the pant is operating at maximum OEE
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement across the engineering function, with health & safety a priority
- Manage budgets and stocks of spare parts
What we are looking for
- Relevant degree / third level qualification (engineering, electrical, mechanical)
- Proven experience leading an engineering maintenance team within FMCG
- Analytical and problem solving approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships
- Leadership ability to manage and develop a high performing team
- Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
- Preferably food industry experience
