About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit an Innovation Lead.

The Babcock London Fire Brigade (LFB) Training Partnership provides a range of training and development programmes for all levels of the Service.

You will focus on the identification of new, innovative training solutions for LFB, incorporating new Technology, new media application and learning management tools. Through the identification and prioritisation of Design and Development projects, the Innovation Manager would take a leading role in the overall coordination of implementation to ensure successful roll-out.

The core objective of this role is to work closely with internal teams, 3rd party and colleagues to present new options to the customer, make small course enhancements and kick off larger development projects.

The projects need to be managed and governed accordingly, to ensure all changes are agreed by the customer and a structured approach is taken. Project management experience, or experience of new process / product implementation is therefore desirable.

The new training solutions will focus on new technology (VR and AR), new media application, new approaches to training, the use of learning systems and how data can be used to support Adaptive Learning and future Training Needs Analysis.

The role will work closely with individuals in the function, as well as the Capability Team and others within Babcock, to pull together specialist knowledge and capabilities from across the sector to deliver high quality products and services to the customer.

The role will actively seek new methods and processes to improve and streamline our service to ensure that high quality training is provided, and supported by insightful and value-adding business intelligence.

What do I need to do the role?

You'll need to be interested and passionate about innovation and Technology in Training, have experience in management of associated continuous improvement projects and be systems and process driven, using data to drive future improvements.
