About the role

Here at Babcock International, we're looking to recruit a Workshop Supervisor to join the team.

Your main responsibility will be to effectively manage the maintenance and repair workshop technical team to ensure that:

The MPS vehicle fleet availability is maintained in accordance with operational requirements and the Service is delivered in a safe, cost effective and technically compliant manner according to the required standards.

As a Workshop Supervisor you will further plan, schedule and progress work to ensure optimised use of labour and cost effective use of materials and equipment.

You will manage workshop performance ensuring work is completed to time and quality standards. You will address performance issues in 'real time' with escalation to workshop manager as required.

You will also manage training and development needs to enable team members to meet the skill levels required to achieve individual and business objectives. Lastly, you will provide 1-2-1 support for your colleagues as well as reviews via the PDR process.

What do I need to do the role?

You will need to have proven experience in a Motor Vehicle Technician role, with experience gained as a fully qualified technician.

We would also like you to have:

  • Proven experience in a Motor Vehicle technician role, with experience gained as a fully qualified technician. and hold n
  • NVQ level 3, or equivalent BTEC or City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Engineering.
  • Good IT skills (including Microsoft Office).

Lastly, you will need to be a good communicator and an excellent team player.
