Production Operative

A leading food manufacturer is looking for flexible Production Operatives to work on a production line in its modern, clean site based in Crumlin, Gwent.

These are 8 hour (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00) or 12 hour (06:00-18:00, 18:00-06:00) shifts and the factory runs 24/7. These roles have no set end date, the contract is on-going with temp to perm opportunities .

The salary depends on what hours and days you work:

Monday to Friday between 0600-2200 is £10.30

Weekend days are £10.75

Weekend nights £12.54

Weekday nights £12.09

Shifts may vary from week to week, there may also be additional shifts available during the week. However there are fixed shifts contract opportunities available.

The ideal candidate for this role will have some experience in a Manufacturing/Production role, preferably within the food industry, and a good standard of written and communicative English. However training will be given.

Your main duties will include:

• Running machinery/equipment to meet targets
• Quality checking the product
• Collecting data from the line and recording it accurately
• Ensuring the production area meets strict hygiene standards
• Packaging the product
• Acting safely and within the site rules at all times

You should be flexible, quality conscious, and have the ability to problem solve. You will be able to communicate with others effectively and work well within a team.

Annual leave entitlement of 28 days a year pro-rata for the first 12 weeks, and 33 days per annum thereafter (including bank holidays). Free parking.
