Barretts Canterbury are looking for a Local Business Development Manager (LBDM).

Your role

The purpose of the role is to gain new business in order to develop profitable relationships while continuously maintaining and developing more business with existing customers across the local area.

Your responsibilities will include the continuous prospecting and selection of new customers, making appointments and meeting with potential customers, reviewing market trends, identifying profitable opportunities and maintaining an active database of potential business. You will also be required to ensure you develop and maintain a full knowledge of all products, accessories, prices and key features of major competitors.

Your profile

This is a challenging customer acquisition and retention related role requiring the ideal candidate to have proven experience of Business to Business selling. Automotive experience is an advantage but not essential.

The ability to develop and nurture effective business relationships is key. It is essential that you are comfortable networking and approaching businesses offsite as this will make up a large part of your role. You will also need to be a very driven, and someone who works well under pressure and understands the importance of achieving targets. Due to the nature of the role a full UK Driving License is essential.
