Here at Mission Systems, we are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and technically competent Principal RF Systems Design Engineer to join our high performing team.

What will you be doing?

You'll play a key role in growing our contracts and building strong customer relationships, implementing our ambitious strategy.

You will become responsible for system and equipment design activities in the Communications Group with an expectation of being able to focus on STANAG RF communication requirements and their translation into actual requirement and system implementation.

Reporting to the Project Manager the Principal RF Systems Design Engineer will exercise system design control over sight upon specialised OEMs providing equipment into the Babcock project service provision.

The experience you'll bring:

You will need experience in systems engineering. You will also need a Degree/HND in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or System Engineering.

We would also like you to have the following:

  • Experience in analogue, digital, RF fault diagnosis and repair to component level.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (DEF STAN / STANAG / BS EN / BR) for systems and equipment.
  • Competency at performing root cause analysis and system performance improvement studies.
  • Knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and circuits for analogue, digital and RF assemblies
  • Knowledge of Integration test and repair of RF Telecommunications systems

Lastly, you will need to be strong team player and have the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team
