This is your opportunity to join Babcock as a Project Controller providing project controls support across schedule management, budgeting & cost control, risk & opportunity management, change management and document management. This is a very dynamic role working within an innovative, complex and an integrated environment.

Here at Babcock International Group in Rosyth we aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our Engineering, Specialised Manufacturing, Gas Handling Systems and Naval Marine business streams.

What will you be doing?

As a Project Controller you will be responsible for applying PMO competencies under supervision primarily in non-complex situations.

Your other duties will include:

  • Supporting in development of Project Packs and reporting metrics, liaising with relevant discipline leads within the project.
  • Developing/implementing and maintain the Project Baseline Budgets including Control Account Plans/Responsibility Assignment Matrix and WBS Dictionary (SOW)
  • Interrogating EVM data using companies ERP tool (IFS).
  • Coordinating of change management, change requests for areas of responsibility.
  • Developing and maintaining Project Risk & Opportunity registers and manage the mitigation actions for areas of responsibility.

The experience you'll bring

You will have experience with reporting and performance management and ideally have previous experience in Project Controls and Budget & Cost control.

We would like you to have the following:

  • Recent and relevant experience in a similar environment / business.
  • Understanding and experience working with EVM.
  • P6 Scheduling experience - desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of EV concepts - desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of Shipbuilding/Repair/Refit/Decommissioning environments - desirable but not essential.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering / project / construction management or a related field - desirable but not essential
  • A professional qualification (eg APM/Acoste/RICS or equivalent) - desirable but not essential.

Lastly, we are looking for a driven and focused individual with excellent communication skills who has a willingness to learn.
