This is your opportunity to join Babcock as a Packaging Analyst to package applications for deployment to remote workstations and troubleshoot package related incidents.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for you to have Scripting languages - Powershell is our script language of choice, old ones are VBScript and Batch which you might still need to use.
What will you be doing?
As a Packaging Analyst your main tasks will include:
* Understand custom and shrink wrapped applications and software lifecycle.
* Understand computer hardware and operating systems in use.
* Maintain software delivery in line with agreed standards and SLA's.
* Investigate software faults and determine permanent solutions.
* Fault management and rectification across the Infrastructure.
* To give technical support of all Desktop platforms to second line fix across Babcock International Group within the agreed performance criteria.
* Ensure Operational and Technical Documentation is maintained to agreed standards.
The experience you'll bring
We would also like you to have the following experience:
* MSI/AppV packaging
* MSI Table Editors
* Flexera Admin Studio to build the packages
* You should also hold be able to gain SC clearance
* Ideally we would like you to live a reasonable distance from Lakeside, Portsmouth as you will be required to go into the office once per month
