We have an opening for someone to join a busy HR team as HR Specialist based Leeds 15. This opening is to support an ongoing project within our Distribution Centre.

We are looking for an experienced Specialist, with a keen eye for detail, a questioning mind and a passion for making sure the job is done and compliance is met in full.

Working 38 hours per week Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00 with early finish on Friday 08:30-15:00.

Reporting to the HR Service Centre Manager you will be key in ensuring this project is completed in time and in full, completing background checks and supporting documentation and information to ensure compliance with legislation.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a busy HR function that prides itself on the service offered to our internal and external customers. During which time, you will be working with an excellent team always willing to share skills and knowledge to help each other grow.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

  • Checking official documentation including Identification, application forms and supporting information to ensure consistency and compliance with legislation.
  • Liaise with Managers and other HR staff where problems arise or for further clarification.
  • Ensure all checks are done in a timely manner and within set timescales.
  • Entering information onto a database for wider scrutiny and checking.

WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Previous experience as an Administrator able to work under own initiative on multiple tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail and ensuring processes are followed accurately
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to connect easily with people at various levels both within and outside the business
  • Good communication skills, working in a variety of ways to collect information
  • Methodical with the ability to work and adapt at pace

DESIRABLE SKILLS - BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Previous HR experience (with a keen eye for detail)
  • Understanding of compliance
