Engineering Manager - Composites Manufacturing

Manpower is working with our client who manufacture composite products serving the aerospace and automotive sectors.

As Engineering Manager you'll lead a skilled team of Engineers in the production of advanced composites for customers across aerospace, defence and automotive sectors.

Competitve salary package in line with the role, option of company car + opportunity to progress to Director level

The Role

  • Lead a team of engineers across projects
  • Develop R&D priorities and take a lead role on this
  • Plan and execute NPI projects, primarily in the fields of out of autoclave composites
  • Develop manufacturing solutions for commercial programs, from DFM studies through to assisting operations in the setting up processes
  • Work with the Operations Manager to compile manufacturing documentation including process control documents, tooling specifications, work instruction and introduction of quality controls
  • Work with the Sales Director to develop cost effective engineered composite solutions for our customers
  • Work with the Managing Director to build the company composite engineering capability and identify opportunities for further growth

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 2:1 degree qualified in Engineering or similar
  • Proven manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience in composites production
  • Leadership / management experience leading engineering teams and projects
  • Preferable to have experience working with Tier 1 or OEM companies
  • Competent analysing data and using engineering software (ERP, Design, CRM, Costing Models)
