Operational Forwarding Co-ordinator

Manpower UK are delighted to be partnering with a global freight forwarder who are looking for an experienced Operational Forwarding Coordinator to join their busy team.

The Operational Forwarding Coordinator will co-ordinate and manage the office work load and ensure that jobs are worked efficiently and staff work effectively. Lines of work include Entertainment, General and Defence markets.

The Operational Forwarding Coordinator will be active in helping to achieve the business objectives and will be a contributor to logistic projects as well as supervising the office.

The ideal person will:

• Possess good communications skills - client/suppliers/management/team
• Have good all round Freight Forwarding experience - multimodal essential along with some experience with project cargo
• Also have experience of organising shipments of goods, knowledge of local and international carriers and routes
• Have experience of negotiating terms of carriage with carriers, booking space and liaising with accounts department over supplier payments and invoice settlement
• Monitoring and communicating shipment status with wider team

This role is perfect for someone who has managed teams of export coordinators/freight forwarders who also possesses excellent communication and technical skills.

Salary on offer is up to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience.
