Order Fulfilment Lead (Logistics)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our Global FMCG Client, the powerhouse behind Persil, Comfort, Surf and Ben & Jerry's, are currently seeking an Order Fulfilment Lead (Logistics). This is a full-time temporary role for 12 Months (Maternity Cover), working a 36.25 hour week, paying up to £41,000 per annum pro rata, based in Leatherhead.

Job Description:

• Management of supply of all Stock Keeping Units within a given portfolio through consultation with Supply Chain, Customer Development, Marketing, Category and Demand Planning teams.
• To ensure that the forecast quantities are supplied as effectively as possible through contact with the Customers and Customer Development teams.
• Perform regular and pro-active order fulfilment activities to ensure the best possible service to our customer. To improve the processes within the supply chain through identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Understand and influence the planning parameters (In-House and External) and assumptions
• Provide insight to requirements planners which will support the implementation of Finished Goods stock policy using inventory planning models by stock holding location
• Understand warehouse and transportation capacity planning
• Provide insight to requirements planners to establish finished goods inventory forecast
• Translate potential supply risks and ensure clear communication into the local business: Manage tools (quotas, Allocations, Reservations, Material Substitutions, Plant Determination etc), Stock Management reports and Maintain reason codes for non-supply issues.
• Trigger stock release or blocking (link with Quality and Logistics)
• Stock shelf-life management (in stock): Mitigate issues arising from requirements planners who monitor stock age profile vs. gross requirements on weekly basis (daily in SCC) e.g. Request derogation
• Obsolete management: Transact obsolete mitigations.
• Manage stock availability and stock movements, particularly in times of constraint - both for own remit and co-ordination on behalf of the team. Review stock availability for all products - Mitigate identified out of stock risks by applying allocation tools, based on agreed business rules. If mitigation is not possible, proactively communicate to the Customer Facing specialists so they can proactively manage with Customers
• Provide regular contact to Customer Account Managers to ensure accuracy of short-term forecast and our ability to supply focusing on current and following week.
• Identify and communicate of improvement opportunities both in preventing issues and improving processes
• Lead category review of supply variances, working with Customer Replenishment Analyst, Factories and Planning teams to formally root cause major variances and agree preventive actions.

Key Skills Required:

• Experience in a similar role with logistics, planning, supply chain etc
• Experience in a fast moving environment essential.
• Proficiency in IT software packages to develop accurate stock management processes.
• Strong analytical skills and key emphasis on the requirement to undertake root cause analysis
• Experience working with SAP.
• Good working knowledge of Excel - creating Pivots, Formulas, Sim If etc.
