Manpower are recruiting for a Domestic Assistant to work for our client in Exeter!

You will undertake duties to ensure the upkeep of a clean and hygienic environment. All work to be undertaken in line with Health & Safety whilst cleaning the staff accommodation at the Hospital.

Main duties:

Daily/weekly cleaning of all areas in line with work schedules, including:

• Cleaning duties within the allocated department of work and associated areas in accordance with the departmental cleaning schedule, National Cleaning Standards and including specialist cleaning as required by Infection Control

• Assist with ad-hoc light Porter duties

• Checking equipment to be used and displaying warning signs to comply with the Health and Safety Regulations

• Ensuring correct waste segregation disposal procedures in accordance with Trust policy

• Regeneration and serving of food, beverage preparation and associated duties

• Distribution and collection of linen to wards and departments and other associated laundry duties

• Completion of Trust and departmental paperwork in accordance with standing instructions

• Assistance with Health, Safety, Hygiene and monitoring checks/audits

• To observe Food Hygiene Legislation, hospital and client policies and procedures at all times, reporting any faults, defects or operational issues to the Supervisor/Manager/Client representative

• Engagement with all training programmes/courses relevant to the role

You will be required to:

• Complete all relevant paperwork on the day

• Cleaning duties involving lifting buckets of water, pushing/pulling stores/laundry, using scrubbing machines

Essential requirements:

• Be a team player

• An understanding of the importance of hygiene, health and safety

• Be physically fit

This position is running for 2-3 months, with possible extension.

There is 1 position available, which can offer either:

- Part-time - Tuesday - Friday all 09:00am-14:30pm.

- Full-time - Monday - Friday all 08:00am-16:00pm.

The hourly rate is £9.49. Weekend and night work is at an enhance rate.

The role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
