Manpower are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Corby, Northampton for Hot Dip Galvanizing Operatives to join their team with an immediate start!

This is initially a temporary vacancy with the view to lead to permanent employment at 12 weeks!

We are searching for reliable, flexible, self-motivated and hardworking individuals, to be employed on a full-time basis (after successful completion of a probationary period).

Working hours and pay:

£11 p/h

£7.00 per day attendance bonus

Overtime offered on Saturday paid at time and a half.

Hours

06.00 - 14.30/13.00 - 21.30 - rotates weekly.

About the role:

You will be required to work within a busy metal plant hanging products onto hooks and dipping the products into a bath of acid using an automated machine. Once dry, you will then be required to pack, strap and wrap the products ready for delivery.

The role ensures the safe and efficient processing of work, from receipt through to the galvanizing process to finished product ready for dispatch.

The Plant operates 24 hours with team members working on a rotating shift system (including some weekends) to meet customer demand.

What is Galvanizing?

Galvanizing is a process in which you dip metal into a bath of acid which coats the product with a layer of zinc to stop it from rusting in extreme weather conditions.

Duties:

• Preparing metals and loading/unloading onto forklift.
• Wiring metals together in preparation for galvanising.
• Placing metals into galvanising bath.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

What we are looking for:

Experience working within production, manufacturing or engineering.

Happy working on your feet all day and lifting heavy objects.

Applicants must be physically fit and work well in a team within a fast moving production environment, where excellent customer service and high product quality is the key to our clients continued success. An excellent attitude towards health and safety is a pre-requisite of this role.
