Purpose of The Job

To carry out the day to day safe and effective fulfilment operation, including all Primary gas, primary cylinder, secondary cylinder, and bulk distribution movements ensuring optimal effectiveness for driver and vehicle utilisation. Actively engage in the site safety requirements and support transport planning with customer master data management.

Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge

  • Ideally experience working within a transportation business.
  • Knowledge of Driving hours rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Hands on attitude and the willingness to lead by example and develop and encourage team spirit.
  • Computer literate with experience using MS Office.
  • Well organised.
  • Clear communicator - good written communication.
  • Strong Safety focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a positive safety culture within the team and increase Safety accountability.
  • Support site management in achieving compliance obligations including Inventory, financial, health and safety and Transport.
  • Liaise with Workshops and Customer Service teams to ensure the effective routing of all vehicles at their disposal.
  • Deal effectively with customer complaints relating to transport activities.
  • Ensure all loads are reconciled in a timely manner.
  • Ensure driver feedback is reported and Master data is updated.
  • Create a mindset within the team that "service matters"
  • Deliver excellent customer service in all areas of the cylinder and bulk business.

Shifts

5 am to 1 pm & 11am to 7 pm

£10.50 per hour (Weekly Pay)
