Housing Officer - Nights

Locations: Cardiff

Salary: Up to £21500,00

Hours: 3 x 13 hour shifts on a rota including nights/Days/Evenings/Weekends/Bank Holidays

Benefits: 20 days holiday increasing to 25 days with service, pension, and life insurance.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

This role involves working to provide direct support and management to the Service Users and supporting external partners. The role requires the Housing Officer to manage the out of hours workload and follow procedures to meet Key Performance Objectives.

This will include manning the office, answering the telephone, managing email communications, and updating the reporting systems.

The position is working on a rota 3 x 13 shifts Evening/Nights/Day including weekends & public holidays as the client operates 7 days a week 365 days a year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for supporting SU's into accommodation, conducting inductions of emergency rooms or properties as well as helping SU's integrate into the community ensuring health & Safety is always maintained of the SU's.

Managing out of hours communications

  • Manage incoming telephone calls taking the appropriate action to resolve issues.
  • Managing emails coming in night mailbox and taking the appropriate action to resolve issues or escalated to the appropriate parties.
  • Arrange transport from all internal & external parties as requested.
  • Manage Migrant Help call logs taking appropriate action to resolve issues or escalated to the appropriate parties.
  • Contact landlords and contractors to arrange emergency repairs within the set category timescales.
  • Carry out regular security checks of the building ensuring that Health and Safety guidelines and company procedures are met.
  • Complete a handover detailing activities and incidents that have occurred on shift.

Working as part of a team supporting colleagues where needed while keeping all communication and liaison up to date following company producers. Manage own workload on shift, resolving all issues where possible while meeting targets and developing in your role with training

This position offers, 28 days annual leave allowance per year (inc. bank holidays). Increasing from the standard 20 day to 23 days after a full holiday year and 25 days after 2nd holiday year, Life Cover (2 x basic salary), Employer pension contribution (4% employer, 4% employee) & Laptop/telephone/other equipment if required as part of job role.
