To enable the Local Authority to discharge its duties and responsibilities, particularly those relating to improving achievement, standards and outcomes for children and young people with SEN and disabilities.

Who we are looking for?

We're looking for someone with effective communication skills and demonstrable commitment to improving the outcomes for children and young people and the ability to support and inspire practitioners by employing a range of strategies to enable them to improve their practice.

What will you be doing?

You will provide strategic SEN leadership across Devon schools by providing advice and consultancy in order to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEN. This will be achieved through delivery of the agreed activities in the contract with Devon County Council and through additional traded activity.

The experience you'll bring

  • Degree in a relevant field
  • Qualified teacher status
  • Successful SEN teaching experience
  • Senior leadership experience in school and/or Ofsted trained
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Relevant Safeguarding training

The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role - [Enhanced DBS check / Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check / Enhanced DBS with Children's and Adults' Barred List check]; [Teacher Regulation Agency's Teacher prohibition check];

The role is mobile and you will be required to hold a full driving licence and provide a vehicle for business use.
