As the Business Support Specialist you will be working under the Business Associate along with a dynamic and friendly team. Providing support, advice, promoting awareness and facilitating the needs of the Facilities Engineering Team. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and assist in the delivery of Defence designs and safety engineering projects.
Who we are looking for?
This permanent role provides key support to the design and safety engineering teams so we need to be flexible and be able to work to the highest standards and strive to improve the service provided to both customer and colleagues whilst complying with company policies and procedures.
What will you be doing?
- Co-ordinate improvement projects as specified by the Business Associate
- Maintain Business Support Team SharePoint Sites and those of the Business Support Team.
- Maintain local filing systems
- Maintain knowledge of, and support maintaining currency of, the primary processes, tools and training used by Facilities Engineering
- Quality check documents in support of formal verification
- Carry out simple technical tasks that support Facilities Engineering's Business Support Manager and Business Associate in the satisfaction of their duties
The experience you'll bring
You will need to have:
- Demonstrable experience in dealing with a broad range of customers
- An ability to work autonomously, with an aspiration for continuous improvement
- Effective writing and presentation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
- NVQ 3 in Business and Administration or equivalent experience
- GCSE in English and Maths - Grade C or equivalent
It would be an advantage to have:
- Experience working in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated safety industry
- Experience working with processes and procedures
