To facilitate the required planning for this growth, we are increasing the size of our strategic planning function, which is responsible for the long-term planning of our resources and facilities. As a result, an exciting opportunity now exists for a Business Planning Specialist to join the Submarine Business Unit, as a member of our established Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team at Devonport.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a Project Engineer to work with a range of stakeholders, the primary purpose of the role is to support the development and maintenance of the Submarine's demand and supply plans, ensuring capture of all underlying assumptions, maintaining change control records and providing updates and reports to support strategic decision making.
What will you be doing?
This is an entry level strategical planning role. Your work will consist of daily tasking from the Planners. You'll create strategical plans for Submarines (currently until 2050), planning facilities required (risks, issues etc.) and from a labour perspective, who do you need for each project, hours and demand.
The experience you'll bring
- Experience in analytical type roles
- Programme experience and excellent interpersonal skills
- HND and above qualifications
- Strong communicator who can build business relationships (Clyde, Bristol and Devonport).
- P6 Planning Tool
- You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
