Our client, a leading energy provider is currently recruiting a Business Administrator to join their team. The position will be based remotely however travel to the London office will be required throughout the contract. The role is responsible for supporting accurate cost control across the directorate and providing administrative support where required to ensure the smooth running of daily operations within company.

A key focus for the role is supporting quite a broad range of areas for the business and therefore requires an approach that drives efficient coordination and prioritisation. In addition, the role will be asked to provide ad-hoc support when time allows (outside of the accountability outlined below).

  • Support accurate cost control across the whole portfolio, this will cover raising all purchase orders, invoices and SAP entries so the whole payment cycle is controlled and any discrepancies can be identified and remedied immediately.
  • Provide the company directorate with support and management of approved vendors to avoid delays with procurement.
  • Act as interface for all payment queries with external suppliers.
  • Assist the Business Support Manager in ensuring the smooth running of company's regular operations, with a primary focus on finance activities.
  • Attend internal meetings and provided detailed minutes / action lists.
  • Support the team with general administrative duties such as meeting room booking, travel arrangements, diary management and team organisation.
  • Provide ad-hoc administrative and project support for the team where required.

Key Skill Requirements:

  • Highly numerate.
  • Solid Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to balance competing deadlines and duties.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable in interacting with multiple stakeholders both internal and external with varying levels of seniority.
  • Holistic view and understanding of the needs for a business.
  • 2 + years experience in providing business / administrative support to multiple stakeholders.
  • IT literate with the ability to learn how to use new software quickly.
  • SAP knowledge and experience desirable, but not essential.
  • Understanding of accounting practices and principles desirable but not essential.
  • Database experience is advantageous
