Production Operator - FLT

We have a great opportunity for a Production Operative with a FLT Counterbalance license to join our client who are one of the world's leading paint manufacturer delivering paint to the Performance Coatings industry. This is a full time temporary ongoing role working a continental rotating shift pattern, 12 hour shifts, 7am - 7pm days and 7pm - 7am nights based on their site in Birmingham.
Tasks will mainly include:
- Operating process vessels, pumps, and other process plant equipment.
- Operate forklift trucks.
- Following batch sheets, identifying correct raw materials and batch numbers for batch mixing along with weighing and measuring out raw materials as required, ensuring batch sheets are completed accurately,
- Operating manufacturing equipment to ensure production of batches is carried out on time and in a safe manner.
- Packaging of hazardous finished product in accordance with packing instructions.
- Undertaking all work activity with due care and attention to Health & safety and company safety procedures. Following plant housekeeping procedures.
Skills and Experience
- FLT counterbalance licence
- Operating process vessels, pumps, and other process plant equipment
- Mixing batches of raw materials
- Operate touch screen in house systems
- Experience of hazardous is goods advantageous
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable and a team player
- Good time management skills
