Metalwork Fabricator Job Description

We are an Architectural and General Metalwork business based in Waltham Abbey seeking an experienced Metalwork Fabricator to join our small but successful team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has an interest in construction and who wants to join a great company with long team career prospects. We will consider newly qualified candidates for this role.

The Candidate:

• 3 years welding and metalwork experience (Preferred)
• Able to commute to Waltham Abbey, Essex (Required)
• Ability to work under own initiative and meet deadlines
• Ability to work as a team

Job Description:

• Cutting, shaping and welding different grades of steel
• Fabricating, marking out, drilling and welding within the workshop
• Reading and working from architectural and engineering drawings
• Applicable welding qualifications preferable
• Carry out aspects of metal polishing including buffing, graining of steel (Preferred for balustrade)
• Ensure work is carried out to a high standard with good accuracy and attention to detail
• Have experience of working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Be able to work on bespoke orders from drawing phase to end finished product without supervision
• Finishing and quality inspection
