Manpower are recruiting 111 Call Handlers to work for our public sector client in Cwmbran.

You will provide a frontline service in answering incoming calls and be responsible for the prioritisation of presenting clinical symptoms, supported by prioritisation software throughout a 24 hour period. This will include the transfer of patient calls to the appropriate responders.

This is a temporary, ongoing role with the opportunity of a permanent position. The start date is Monday 10 January 2022, therefore you must be available to start on this date.

You will undertake 5 weeks training, working 9 am - 5 pm or 8 am - 4 pm. Upon completion of your training you must be able to commit to flexible working as the service operates 24/7. You will work 7.5 hour shifts across a 7 day rota.

Essential requirements:

  • Previous call centre or customer service experience
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's, Grade C or above or equivalent
  • Ability to think critically
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Excellent keyboard skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • The role offers an hourly rate is £9.49 weekdays, £13.38 Saturdays & nights and £17.37 Sundays & Bank Holidays

    The role is subject to a satisfactory references enhanced DBS check.
