Manpower are extremely proud to be working with an amazing client in the Freight industry, The ideal candidate should have experience of working within the Freight Forwarding arena, in all modes of transport. However, Ocean Freight background would be an desirable.

The candidate will have excellent customer service skills and meticulous attention to detail. The suitable candidate will be a highly organised team player who thrives under pressure to deliver quality service to our clients.

Have a proven track record in sales within the freight forwarding community, with the Aptitude to achieve or exceed agreed sales targets and KPI's. Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.

Main Duties

· Plan and organise department to ensure that all calls are properly logged and followed up, and that a weekly sales plan with priorities, goals and achievements can then be formulated

· To liaise internally with UK offices as required, to develop effective communications and generate new opportunities.

· To validate inquiries and record client details into the system and to keep information updated

· Assist with maintenance and further development of the company's sales and marketing strategy and to develop customer base

· Promote products and services to clients and negotiate contracts with the aim of maximising profits

· Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions.

· Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, providing technical information and explanations to customers, and preparing quotations.

· Required domestic traveling for client face to face meetings

· Following up with customers to enable customer care

· Analysis the competition to prevent a decline in sales and maintain market share

· Self-motivation to achieve set target and surpass KPIs

· Explore opportunities to add value to customers

Hours of Work

· Monday - Friday, 37.5 hrs per week

Salary

£32,000-£37,500 plus an extensive benefits package.
