Through strategic growth of their company, my client is looking to add an experienced Ocean Freight Forwarder to their busy import/exports team. Reporting to the Head Of Ocean Freight, you will be comfortable in organising efficient movement of containers globally, ensuring the customer is kept up to date and their goods are being moved in the most efficient manner.

As a company, they are very proactive within their markets and actively encourage their employees to think outside the box, with the Managing Director especially keen on developing the staff within the business.

The Role

• Routing/Tracking of Containers globally
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery and collection requirements
• Accurate completion of Invoices/Credit Control
• Receive bookings from clients and issue confirmation e-mail
• Place booking with carrier. Advise VGM details at same time.
• Create customs entries when required
• Advise details for AMS to client
• Keep clients advised of any delays in pick up/sailing
• Issue Bill of Lading Instructions to carriers prior to documentation cut.
• Obtain ROE from carrier and invoice the client
• Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm

• Previous Ocean Freight Experience
• Comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels
• Great attention to detail
• Enjoys working in a team environment
