Logistics Planner

Manpower are delighted to be partnered with a busy client of ours who are looking to recruit two Logistics Planners for their new facility based in Lympne, near Hythe.

The company is an established organisation with a 20-year history and they recently expanded into Kent and refurbished the multi-million pound site.

This is a role for experienced Transport/Logistics Planners who are used to working in a busy transport environment and you will be required to source backloads and ensure minimum empty mileage is achieved.

The Logistics Planners will be responsible for routing vehicles around the UK, liaising with Ops teams daily, checking the system for planned container deliveries and arranging the haulage with own fleet or Third party hauliers.

For this role you must have haulage experience. You must have excellent geographical knowledge, be able to work well in a busy and at time pressurised environment, be IT proficient and be able to think quickly.

You will be provide updates to both drivers and customers so excellent communication skills are essential.

Working hours
Monday to Friday, either 08.30-17.00 or 09.00-17.30, with an occasional Saturday if required.
