Air and Sea Operations Co-ordinator

I have an exciting new (new department) opportunity for an Air and Sea Operations Co-ordinator to work for a Professional Freight Logistics Service company with - International Logistics's. Offering a wide range of freight transportation and storage services with specialised customs clearance, packing and chamber documentation across Air, Ocean & Sea. This is an officed based position

Purpose:

This really is a great opportunity to help assist in setting up a new air and sea department within a mostly Road freight environment. Reporting to the office manager. You will need to have proven experience of Air and Ocean Freight and strong customer service skills.

Daily duties:

• Good knowledge of both modes of transport and sub-contractors
• Cultivate and grow existing client portfolio
• Cultivate subcontractors
• Excellent knowledge of customs procedures and bills of lading
• Good attention to detail
• Understanding of profit / margins
• Strong customer service - relationship building
• Keeping all polices and procedure's update
• Updating systems

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Air & Ocean Freight
• Knowledge of customs procedures and bills of lading
• Ad hoc duties - new department some other varied duties
• Strong customer service skills
• Spotting opportunity to up sell & cross sell
• A positive thinker

Salary:

Upto £40,000. Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Benefits - 1st year - 22 days holiday (2nd year -25 days) plus bank holidays, pension + others.
